Denver X-ray Conference

X-ray Conference on Wednesday August 2nd.

ACI Convention 2017

George W. Seegebrecht had the honor of serving as Master of Ceremonies for the ACI Convention Opening Ceremonies at the Renaissance Marriott in Detroit on March 26.

M. Morrison FellowACI Awards were presented by ACI President Michael J. Schneider to four Honorary Members, ACI’s most prestigious award. Awards were then presented to 27 Outstanding new Fellows and 27 50-year members. A tremendous amount of dedicated industry changing contributions were celebrated in these extraordinary awardees. 

An Inspirational keynote talk was delivered by former NFL quarterback Tom Flick entitled; “Leadership in a Faster Moving World”.

It was a motivational energizing talk that attendees discussed well into the convention week. For more information about the presentation see

Passing the Gavel 2017As the ceremony drew to a close Michael Schneider passed the gavel to incoming ACI President Mr. Khaled Awad.

We wish Khaled Awad the very best in his upcoming term as ACI’s President.

George W. Seegebrecht was again blessed with the honor to serve as Master of Ceremonies for ACI. The 2016 ACI Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards Gala was held on October 24th. The program showcased outstanding projects in all six categories.

Top honors went to the Italy Chapter's nomination, the Palazzo Italia, heart of Expo 2015.

George W. Seegebrecht was blessed with the opportunity to serve as Master of Ceremony for the inaugural ACI Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards Gala.

The evening showcased outstanding Concrete Construction projects from all around the world. ACI President Sharon Wood presented the Excellence Award to the project representatives of Marseilles, France's Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilization. ACI past President Ann Ellis spoke of the creation of this prestigious award program intended to provide a forum to showcase these excellent examples of concrete construction.

CCSI ACI Iraq Chapter

Concrete Construction Special Inspector

Concrete Construction Special Inspector session was conducted at ACI Headquarters in Farmington Hills, Michigan, for professors from Baghdad University and the ACI Iraq Chapter. The 3-day program included a variety of topics including concrete placement, hot weather concrete, curing, reinforcement inspection, plan reading and others. This was a highly educated group with many interesting questions and discussions during the program.

Concrete Construction Special Inspector

Concrete Construction Special Inspector Session was conducted for a national contractor at their office in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. This session consisted of a course review on the first two days and on the third day, with a 3-hour open book written examination and a plan reading examination.  This group had a wide variety of design, field, and management experience that brought interesting questions and discussion to the session.
